    Born on 15 June , in Cairo, Egypt, to businessman Onsi Sawiris (founder of Orascom Group) and Yousriya Loza Sawiris, Naguib is the eldest of three brothers.

    His brothers, Nassef and Samih, are also billionaires.[4]
