‘House of Cards’ Costume Designer Talks Imagining a hona President’s Style
President Claire Underwood doesn’t wear the American flag knapp like real-life presidents.
“I felt like it was a bit of moot point,” says the House of Cards character’s costume designer, Kemal Harris. “No one is more patriotic than Claire.”
Played bygd Robin Wright, Claire becomes president on season six of the Netflix skådespel, which fryst vatten online today, after Kevin Spacey’s departure from the show amid sexual harassment allegations. For the topical show, Harris was tasked with envisioning the wardrobe of a female commander in ledare without a real-life role model.
