In neighboring Afghanistan, the Taliban banned women from education, employment, and participation in public life. During the debate, Parasto Hakim provided an overview of the situation of the Afghan women’s protest movement and the restrictions imposed on women’s liberties. Ryan: We don’t have a collective name, though at the beginning we thought we should because it can be faster to articulate group aims and there are strategic advantages.
